Oliviera of Sopra

"L'Oliviera di Sopra" (230 square meters) has a rich history, officially recorded at the end of the 17th century when the first maps of the region were created, which renders it the heritage status of “Leopoldina”. In the early 19th century, it became one of two oil mills in via delle Vigne. The stream (fosso Serpentaio) also is featured in history, given its name as the site where a rogue crocodile terrorized locals and was killed at the end of the 15th century.
During the restoration phase, the original stone walls were left exposed and in general the careful renovation has maintained the flavor and style of the ancient residences, both for the choice of materials (such as terracotta and wood) and colors.
On the ground floor there is a comfortable living room with fireplace and a guest bathroom. A recent renovation added a large kitchen of great charm with a beautiful island and a glass sliding doors leading to a delightful veranda with garden and mountain views. From the kitchen, via a staircase to the lower floor, we find a large laundry and storage area with a separate cellar connected to the kitchen by a dumbwaiter lift.
