The area in which I find myself represents a small sandy stretch embraced by a cliff on the banks of the Ionian Sea which is only a few km from Torre Vado and Santa Maria di Leuca where the Ionian Sea meets the Adriatic Sea. in the municipality of Patù and partly in that of Castrignano del Capo and borders the marina of San Gregorio, these places are realities that embellish my land thanks to natural but also historical and artistic beauties such as the historic center of Castrignano del Capo which is characterized by a very ancient part, of medieval origin, called Borgo Terra which represents the first rural society that inhabited the village and which is characterized by its narrow alleys, white houses, underground oil mills and some very important historic buildings such as Palazzo Muzi , built between the end of the 18th and the beginning of the 19th century. In addition to these beauties that fall within the Municipality of equally fascinating are those of nearby Patù such as the Mother Church of San Michele Arcangelo built in memory of a battle between Christians and Saracens and the ancient Centopietre monument of medieval origin built with stone blocks from a Roman mausoleum.
