Single-family detached house via Corsica, Giuliano, Castrignano del Capo

They are an ancient palace located in Giuliano, a small hamlet in the extreme south of Puglia which, together with Salignano and the well-known Santa Maria di Leuca, is part of the Municipality of Castrignano del Capo. My country is a reality rich in history and art that find expression in the monuments, in the menhirs, in the oil mills, and in the ancient churches that meet along the roads. In the heart of Giuliano a predominant role for its beauty occupies the feudal Castle built in the early sixteenth century in the ancient heart of the town, it represents one of the few fortresses in Salento to have kept its original appearance intact. The moat, still visible, houses a citrus grove while the structure has the characteristics of military architecture of the sixteenth century. In addition to historical monuments, my country is characterized above all by its wide expanses of countryside and centuries-old olive trees, narrow streets and alleys that are part of ancient villages and a splendid sea that meet in Santa Maria di Leuca a few kilometers from me. Here history and nature are intertwined in a continuous dance, but the heart of the village also in the faith it represents: in fact, pilgrims have always come to Santa Maria di Leuca to go to the Sanctuary of the Madonna de Finibus Terrae, at the edge of the earth, last strip of land before the sea. Together with this splendid marina I return to the Municipality of Castrignano del Capo characterized by a very ancient part of medieval origin called Borgo Terra which represents the first rural society that inhabited the village. That of my municipality is a suggestive reality and is characterized by its narrow alleys, white houses and their typical balconies. Here there are many underground oil mills and some very important historical buildings such as Palazzo Muzi, built between the end of the 18th and the beginning of the 19th century. . My interiors consist of nine rooms characterized by typical star vaults. My exteriors instead include a garden with an ancient well and a solar area of relevance which is accessed via an internal staircase. I still retain the originality of the past and I am just waiting to be able to recover my ancient splendor.
