Description
On a rolling hill there is this beautiful property made by the farmhouse of about 450 sqm and the dependance of about 150 sqm. Main house was built around an ancient watchtower from the late 1700s, with later additions. On the ground floor the living area, which is accessed both from the many French windows and from a small covered loggia, consists of the large kitchen, typical of country houses, a room used as an American bar, bathroom, the large laundry room, rooms strategically located at the back of the kitchen, and the representation area, with a large living room with a nice double-opening fireplace and a study room, also with fireplace. The wooden staircase leads to the upper floor with a large hallway, on one side two double bedrooms, each with private bathroom and on the other side, master double bedroom with sitting room and a bathroom. In a slightly detached position the dependance of about 150 sqm, on the ground floor a covered veranda, the large kitchen, the living room with fireplace and a bathroom; on the first floor, the small hallway separates master bedroom, from bathroom and the second bedroom that hides in a corner a small alcove where a French bed is placed. Outdoor spaces
The farmhouse is surrounded by about 1 hectare of land, fenced and with two driveways, part of it close to the house is kept as a garden, and a small olive grove with about 200 plants that give the fragrant Tuscan oil. In the most panoramic and distant part from the house there is the pool, 11 x 5, sanitized with salt and renovated four years ago, surrounded by the travertine solarium and a relaxation area equipped with a pergola that can be opened or closed according to needs and climate, and a shower heated by a solar panel. A large loggia houses an open living area equipped with a kitchen, bbq, wood-burning oven and a large table, where you can spend evenings with friends. In a secluded area is another pergola that can accommodate up to six cars.
Condition and finishes
The farmhouse underwent a complete renovation in the mid-90s, with recovery and use of ancient materials and the use of technology with the result of a typical Tuscan farmhouse and modern at the same time. Constant maintenance over time makes it current and does not require any further intervention.
