We find ourselves along one of the busiest foundations in Cannaregio, we pass through an imposing wooden door to find ourselves in a silent entrance hall that contrasts the liveliness of the foundation, embellished with a mysterious marble wellhead from the 1600s, decorated with statues. We go up a flight of stairs to take the elevator that takes us to the third floor where our apartment awaits us. As soon as we enter we find the living area and we are immediately attracted by the windows that overlook the roofs and bell towers of Cannaregio and the mountains in the distance. The living room is finely decorated with wonderful exposed beams and delicate Murano glass ornaments, and graceful paintings, illuminated by the beautiful chandelier. Moving to the right, a spacious kitchen opens up, with pocket doors. The kitchen is equipped with an oven and dishwasher, as well as a table and chairs for Sunday lunches. We continue through the corridor and on our left we find the double bedroom with the same breathtaking view as the living room. A door on the right leads to a first bright bathroom with window, equipped with two sinks and a spacious shower. Following the corridor from which we arrived, we find on our left another bathroom equipped with a large tub and shower, while on our right we find a series of wardrobes that offer ample space for storage.
The Cannaregio district is the second most extended in Venice after Castello and is the most populated. In this district there is the Ghetto of Venice which can be reached on foot by crossing the Ponte delle Guglie and following the Strada Nova, the main artery of the whole which leads from the Santa Lucia station to Rialto. This journey of approximately 25 minutes begins at the foot of the Ponte degli Scalzi and the church of Santa Maria degli Scalzi and ends in Campo dei Santi Apostoli.
