Charming detached, typical Tuscan farmhouse nestled in the Pisan countryside surrounded by two hectares of land, with swimming pool and tennis court.
Description
Strategically located on a hillock that is reached through the typical avenue lined with tall cypress trees that ends in a clearing in the middle of which stands majestically the farmhouse with an area of about 250 square meters. On the ground floor the living area that is divided into several well connected rooms, the large and cozy kitchen with the central island, the pantry, a bathroom, the dining area and the large living room in which towers a beautiful stone and brick fireplace. In the center the stone staircase leads to the second floor where there are four bedrooms, all double, one with ensuite bathroom, as well as a second bathroom serving the other rooms. The attic covers the entire surface area of the house and is accessed by a convenient wooden staircase, but it has a height that makes it practicable only as an attic.
Part of the main body of the house, but with access from the outside are the laundry room and boiler room serving the kitchen. At the back of the house another room where it houses the wood boiler that serves the heating of the whole house.
State and finishes
The farmhouse has origins that date back to the late 1800s, as evidenced by a plaque on the main facade, the renovations date back to 2007 and have affected the whole house that is still in good condition of maintenance.
Outdoor spaces
2 hectares of fenced land surround the house in which there are also 30 olive trees and several trees that provide coolness and shade, the part closest to the house is kept as a garden with some areas where there are tables and chairs to spend the summer days outdoors. In the crag of land lower than the house is the tennis court, while in an upper crag, protected by a bamboo grove is the swimming pool that measures 10 x 5 as well as a large flat area where chairs and sunbeds can be arranged.
Potential uses
It is the country house that can be lived in year-round or the country house to be lived in summer only.
Location
Casciana Terme - Lari are two small towns a few dozen kilometers from Pisa and the coast. In Casciana there are the spas, while a few kilometers away is Pontedera, a large center from which both Pisa and Florence can be easily reached by highway and train.
