San Fili is a 17th century rural village located on the south-eastern coast of Calabria, in the municipality of Locri. The estate includes 18 hectares (44 acres) of agricultural land and approximately 1,500 square meters (16,000 square feet) of rural buildings, located on gentle hillsides, approximately 5 km from the Ionian beaches (a 10-minute drive).
The "Borgo" is currently used as a holiday home by the owners and for summer rentals. It has considerable potential for tourism development, considering the spectacular view of the olive groves and the Ionian Sea, the ease of access to the Ionian Sea beaches in Locri and nearby cities, the proximity to local attractions such as the splendid medieval town of Gerace, the Museum National team of Reggio Calabria with the Riace Bronzes, famous throughout the world; and mountain excursions in the Aspromonte National Park, in places such as Zomaro and its lake, which offer a welcome opportunity for refreshment during the summer days.
Currently, the main house can accommodate 7 people (4 in the upstairs apartment, "La Meridiana"; and 3 in the lower floor, "La Pergola" apartment). The large oil mill/granary could be converted into a restaurant and/or host wedding receptions celebrated in the estate's small church.
