Santa Maria al Bagno is a fraction of the municipality of Nardò in the province of Lecce. It is about 7 km from Nardò and Galatone and has around 950 inhabitants.
During the summer period it is populated mainly by inhabitants coming from Galatone, Nardò and Galatina, as well as numerous tourists.

The Villa
Villa Patrizia has been completely rebuilt and it is located in Santa Maria al Bagno, a hamlet of Nardò, at an altitude of 60 meters above sea level. It is the last house on the Torre Mozza road with a large terrace of 100 square meters and a terrace on the first floor of 60 square meters. The location is quiet and offers breathtaking views of a rich olive tree plantation. At the entrance of the villa there is a suggestive fountain from which during the evening hours it is possible to enjoy the external lighting. History
Santa Maria al Bagno is a tourist resort in Salento belonging to the municipality of Nardò and therefore on the Ionian coast between Gallipoli and Santa Caterina;
it is separated from the latter by a small promontory known as Punta dell'Aspide.

It owes its name to the beautiful tower forming part of the defensive system wanted by Charles V in the 16th century.

Over time Santa Maria al Bagno has been enriched with noble palaces, villas, a charming seafront lined with palm trees and has become one of the prettiest marinas in the Ionian Sea. Its coastline is characterized by very low coasts, partly rocky and alternating with stretches of sand, the main attraction for families with children.
