In the historic center of Cetona, in the oldest part of the village, stands this independent apartment, completely restored, spread over two levels beyond the attic.
The entrance is in a typical alley decorated with plants and a bench where you can enjoy a pleasant relaxation in the shade on hot summer days or in winter on sunny days when the walls protect from the "tramontana" wind, that sweeps all the clouds leaving a beautiful blue sky.
Completely restored in 2012, the house has preserved all the characteristics of the ancient Tuscan houses : terracotta floors, ceilings with white beams and handmade tiles, roof withold tiles and the original witnesses of the ancient walls and arches that were left in evidence on the walls. Very nice is the round stone window that adorns the kitchen. The fireplace with wooden shelf has an ancient stone base.
On the ground floor the entrance leads into a large kitchen-living room with fireplace, with masonry hob with sink and marble top.
A wall separates the living room from a hallway where there is a bathroom with shower with a beautiful marble sink. Outside there is a lovely hand-painted ceramic sink and an antique wooden staircase that serves as a towel rack.
A wooden door hides an under-staircase storage room.
A flight of terracotta stairs leads to the first floor where the two bedrooms are located. One with a window overlooking the alley where there is the entrance and the other overlooking a garden and the houses of the village. A small wooden door on the wall hides a wardrobe.
On the ceiling, above the walkway that connects the two rooms, there is a trap door where a retractable staircase leads to the roof as large as the whole house, with windows, but only partially habitable.
The windows are all wooden with double glazing, they have mosquito nets.
The house has been decorated and very tastefully furnished. Part of the furniture could be object of negotiation, but is not included.
