Orient Bay Beach is one of longest and busiest beaches of Saint Martin. The bay is located on the northeastern coast, in the French part of the island. The numerous beach bars and sunbeds are reminiscent of the Côte d'Azur, but the restaurants serve local specialties directly in the shade of the palm trees; sample a tropical cocktail or order an 'acras' (Creole fishballs). The bay, with its white sand beach and deep blue water, faces 3 small islands: Pinel, Green Cay and Tintamarre.

Reaching Happy Beach is not exactly easy: From Friar's Beach the walking trail takes about 15 minutes through the forest until you come to this hidden cove.
