Apartment - Corte Galluzzi - Bologna
Centrally-located studio apartment, set into an exclusive Medieval courtyard on the backside of San Petronio Basilica, the church presiding over Piazza Maggiore and the Fountain of Neptune.
Guests have access to a fully equipped kitchen and are provided with bed linens and towels. Upon arrival, our staff will be waiting at the apartment to explain how everything works and to hand over the keys. During your stay, our staff is available to address any requests or concerns.
This cosy studio apartment has been recently renovated (2013) and is located on the 2nd floor (no elevator) of a stately building next to San Petronio Basilica, in the heart of Bologna Old Town. It sits in a Medieval courtyard filled with handicraft shops and typical restaurants.
Guests are welcomed into a bright entrance; then, they come across the double sofa bed and the bookcase creating two different areas, a bright living corner and a relaxing night area.
The day area is furnished with a spacious 4-seater table and a flat screen TV: just turn it around and enjoy your favourite TV show either lying on the couch or on the bed, or sitting at the dining table.
The brand-new kitchen is custom-made and comes with oven and everything you need to prepare mouth-watering meals with the extra fresh ingredients you have just picked up in the nearby grocery stores.
The night area is fitted with a comfortable double bed with 4 storage boxes and a spacious 2-door closet. In the bathroom you find a shower stall and a washing machine.
The rental price includes the initial and the final cleaning, the rent, the condominium expenses, Italian taxes (television and garbage), WiFi internet and bills. For electricity and gas, in particular, we include a forfait of 80 per month. Only if you exceed this forfait, you would have to pay the difference.
Area:
The apartment is located into the refined Corte Galluzzi, a corner of quietness dating back to the Middle Ages on the backside of Piazza Maggiore. The Corte overlooks Via DAzeglio, and it is steps from the birthplace of the famous Italian singer Lucio Dalla.
In the area you also find churches and some of Bolognas major landmarks, such as the prestigious Collegio di Spagna, dating back to the XIV century, and Porta Saragozza, offering plenty of bars and restaurants.
At less than 50 meters there is also Via Farini, the exclusive shopping district rich in boutiques and shops.
Being in the city centre, the apartment is close to the best street market in Bologna - on Via Pescherie Vecchie - where you can shop for fresh groceries. The pharmacy and the newsagents are only 2 minutes away (on foot).
Public transportation:
There are many buses in Via Farini and Via Indipendenza heading to Bologna railway station, the fair and the major hospitals.
Parking:
The apartment is in a pedestrian street, within the restricted traffic area (ZTL) and an access ticket is requested. The closest private garages are located in Piazza Galileo 5 (access from Piazza Roosevelt) and in Via Barberia 13. Here you may also fill a form to get access to the restricted traffic area. Alternatively, you may park just outside the restricted area, in the underground private lot of Piazza 8 Agosto.
Important: guests must pay a tourism tax, which is not included in the price. 4,60 per person per night. The fee is only applied to the first 5 nights.

Pets are allowed ( 20+VAT per night, limited to the first 5 nights).
